The Social Worker provides psycho-social assessments and treatment plans for clients and families in the Renal Program, offering clinical and supportive counseling services regarding illness adjustment, personal concerns, and bereavement.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and have two years of recent related clinical experience in acute care or community health, along with current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
The salary range for this position is CAD $44.85 - $56.02 / hour Job Summary
Reporting clinically to the Professional Practice Chief, Social Work and administratively to the Manager, Health Services, works in interdisciplinary environment by providing psycho-social assessments and treatment for clients and families in the Renal Program in order to maintain and improve upon the client's quality of life.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an approved school of Social Work. Two (2) years' recent related clinical experience working with clients in an acute care and/or community health care environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers. Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
