The Specialty Pharma Nurse delivers and monitors specialized infusion, injectable, or oral pharmacological treatments in the home or clinic, monitoring patients for infusion-related reactions and intervening as required. JOB SUMMARY The Specialty Pharma Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Practical Nurse, under the direction of the Specialty Pharma Supervisor and/or Specialty Pharma Nurse Manager, delivers and monitors specialized infusion, injectable or oral pharmacological treatments in the home or clinic setting.
The infusion nurse is responsible for monitoring the patient for infusion related reactions (intervening as required), accurately documenting the procedure, and submitting reporting in a timely manner.
The Specialty Pharma Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Practical Nurse is expected to maintain effective communication with the Specialty Nursing Supervisor and/or Specialty Pharma Nurse Manager to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
Specialized pharmacological training will be provided.

Role Type: Casual Range: $27 - $40 per hour, with premium if applicable
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited nursing program with an LPN or RPN degree and maintain current registration with the provincial regulatory body, along with current BLS certification. Required experience includes acute care and/or administering specialty pharmaceuticals, with exceptional peripheral IV initiation skills being necessary where applicable.
