The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide direct patient care under the direction of physicians, Registered Nurses, and other healthcare providers in primary and ambulatory care settings. Responsibilities include COVID screening, assisting with vaccinations, conducting patient assessments, performing interventions, and counseling patients on preventive health care.
Applicants must have a minimum of one full-time equivalent year of experience within the last three years in nursing practice conducting patient assessments and providing direct care for adults in a primary or ambulatory care setting. Minimum qualifications also require graduation from an approved Practical Nursing Program, a current provincial/territorial license, and current First Aid/BLS certification.

Bayshore Medical Personnel is excited to announce a Full-time Contract opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with one (1) full-time equivalent year of experience to join the team in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. We're looking for dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact in Military Health Services! The successful LPN provides services to patients on a walk-in and appointment basis in various primary and ambulatory care settings such as the Care Delivery Unit (CDU), treatment room, and specialty clinic.
The successful applicant will provide direct patient care under the direction of physicians, Registered Nurses, and/or other healthcare providers.
The LPN shall possess, as a minimum, one (1) full-time equivalent year of experience within the last 3 years in nursing practice conducting patient assessments and providing direct nursing care for a broad range of diseases in the adult population in a primary care or ambulatory care setting.
1. Graduated from a Practical Nursing Program approved by Council of the College of Nurses; 2. Current and valid license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice; and 3. Certificate of Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C.
