The Indigenous Peer Support Worker provides strengths-based, trauma-informed, non-clinical peer support to tenants in transitional housing by sharing lived experiences of Indigenous culture and traditions. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living practical support, navigating systems, attending appointments, and facilitating recovery-oriented groups.
Applicants must be of Indigenous ancestry/identity as this is a bona fide occupational requirement, and must agree with the organization's faith-based mission. A minimum of 2 years of related experience in abstinence-based housing is required, along with a valid Class 5 driver's license and foundational training in trauma-informed practice or related counseling subjects.

This is a temporary part-time (30 hours per week) contract (10 months). The starting salary range for this position is $23.82 to $26.03 per hour.
