Emergency Medical Technicians provide emergent and non-emergent Basic Life Support services to the sick and injured. They continue to provide BLS medical services until hospital authorities or a Paramedic assume responsibility for patient care.
Candidates must have a Primary Care Paramedic diploma and be registered or eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the PCP/EMT level. A valid Class 4 driver's license and a Basic Life Support Certificate are also required.

Emergency Medical Technicians are responsible for providing emergent and non-emergent Basic Life Support ( BLS ) services to the sick and injured, and for continuing to provide BLS medical services until responsibility for patient care can be assumed by hospital authorities or a Paramedic.
