The RPN supports the Long Term Care Home by administering medications, treatments, and assessments, actively participating in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure excellent resident care. Candidates must possess the appropriate current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and be registered or eligible for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario, along with current First Aid and BLS Certificates. Additional requirements include a recent negative vulnerable sector check and a recent 2-Step TB Skin test.
