The Nurse Practitioner will provide primary care and community health services to clients and their families as part of the Miko-Mahikan “Red Wolf” Harm Reduction Team, focusing on initiatives like harm reduction strategies, HIV/HCV, and opiate use disorder. This role includes providing outreach services to File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council communities, encompassing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved school of Nursing with a Master’s degree in nursing and hold current registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Nurse Practitioners. A minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in primary care, public health, or acute care is required, along with knowledge of First Nations Traditional and Spiritual Institutes.

The File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council (FHQTC) Health Services is a dynamic innovative health organization that provides a range of programs and services to 11 First Nations throughout Southern Saskatchewan within the Treaty Four Territory. The FHQTC and its employees are committed to a proactive and holistic approach to health and wellness for our communities and our staff. The Nurse Practitioner will work as part of the Miko-Mahikan “Red Wolf” Harm Reduction Team to encompass a variety of initiatives that include harm reduction strategies, HIV/HCV, opiate use disorder, and will work within a harm reduction and rights-based philosophy. Under the direction of the Miko-Mahikan “Red Wolf” Harm Reduction Program Manager, the Nurse Practitioner provides primary care and community health services to clients and their families. The Nurse Practitioner provides outreach services to the communities of the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Travel Required: Yes Education Graduate of approved school of Nursing Master’s degree in nursing.
