The Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) is responsible for providing primary health care services to individuals and specific client groups based on evidence-based knowledge and advanced nursing practice. This role encompasses clinical practice, consultation, collaboration with other professionals, education, leadership, research, and developing quality improvement initiatives.
Candidates must possess a Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), along with one year of experience in community development/health promotion and three years as an RN in primary care, public health, or acute care. A valid Class 5 driver's license and Basic Life Support Certificate are also mandatory.

Under the general direction of the Primary Health Care Manager, and as part of the multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) (RN(NP)) is responsible for the provision of primary health care services to individuals and specific client groups in accordance with evidence based knowledge and advanced nursing practice. This role includes clinical practice, consultation and collaboration with other health care professionals, education, leadership, research, and development of quality improvement initiatives.
