The Nurse Practitioner provides advanced practice nursing, blending in-depth knowledge with the autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and perform procedures for acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions. Practice involves building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities, supporting inter-professional collaboration, and participating in continuous improvement projects.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and have one year of experience with community development/health promotion activities, alongside three years of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse. A Valid Class 5 driver's license and Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate are also required, along with registration eligibility with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).

Advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience. Nurse blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with the legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions patients. Position practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention. Practice involves building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities. This includes community needs assessments; supporting inter-professional collaboration and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects. provides clinical assessment and treatment strategies that reflect in-depth knowledge of the care populations.
