Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and have two years of recent related experience in a mental health setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC and a valid Class 5 Driver's license are also mandatory requirements.
The salary range for this position is CAD $45.15 - $56.17 / hour Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Operations for operational and administrative issues and coordination of program services including the development, delivery and evaluation of services outcomes; and to the Professional Practice Leader, Occupational Therapy for professional and practice issues. Duties include assessing, planning implementing and monitoring occupational therapy treatment programs, communicating with patients/families, other healthcare givers and the community, maintaining patient records and statistical data, delegating components of treatment to assistants and Mental Health Care Worker, facilitating student learning, preparing and delivering presentations, attending Mental Health Addictions departmental and hospital-wide in-services and educational programs and assisting with departmental maintenance and quality management. May provide care to patients through a combination of telephone, virtual video/audio conference and/or remote technology to patients in their homes, in the community including outreach, and virtually.
