Candidates must have three years of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. A valid Class 5 driver's license and registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan as an RN(NP) are also required.

In collaboration with the health team, the primary health nurse practitioner will provide primary health services to the community. This includes: health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and emergency services; collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; initiating and participating in community development initiatives and participating in evaluative projects. The Primary Health Care Nurse RN (NP) reports to a Manager of Primary Health Care. Incumbent is self-directed and requires minimal supervision.
