Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and appropriately implement patient care services.
  • Provide all preventive clinical hygiene services to patients, including scaling, root planing, polishing, topical fluoride application, placing sealants, and teeth whitening.
  • Be an oral health educator by introducing new prevention techniques and providing advice.
  • Provide a consistent patient experience during dental hygiene visits.
  • Establish strong relationships with patients while maintaining ethical professional behavior.
  • Retain patients by offering a customized experience that meets their expectations.
  • Demonstrate active listening and empathy toward patients using effective communication techniques.

What you need to succeed in this role

Hold a dental hygiene diploma or equivalent qualification.

Be registered and/or hold valid authorization from the appropriate dental hygiene regulatory body in your province.

Hold valid CPR certification.

Bilingual (French/English) – ideal.

Responsabilités

Évaluer, planifier et mettre en œuvre de façon appropriée les services de soins aux patients.

Effectuer tous les services d’hygiène clinique préventive auprès des patients, notamment le détartrage, le surfaçage, le polissage, l’application du fluorure topique, la pose de scellant de puits et de fissures et le blanchiment des dents.

Être un éducateur de la santé bucco-dentaire en introduisant de nouvelles techniques de prévention et de conseil.

Fournir une expérience-patient constante pendant les visites d’hygiène dentaire.

Établir des relations solides avec le patient tout en maintenant un comportement professionnel éthique.

Fidéliser le patient en lui offrant une expérience sur mesure répondant à ses attentes.

Faire preuve d’écoute et d’empathie envers le patient en utilisant des techniques de communication efficaces.

Pour réussir dans ton rôle, tu devras

Être titulaire d’un diplôme en hygiène dentaire ou d'un diplôme équivalent.

Être inscrit(e) et/ou avoir une autorisation en règle d'un organisme de réglementation en hygiène dentaire de la province.

Être titulaire d’une certification RCR valide.

Bilingue (Français/Anglais) – idéal.
