The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and management of clients in accordance with professional standards. This includes establishing treatment goals, maintaining clinical records, and collaborating with health teams to provide patient education.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. A preference for three years of experience, including in-home assessments and medical/legal report writing, is indicated.
The Occupational Therapist, under the direction of the Director Therapy & Rehab, Manager of Rehab, or designate, is responsible for completion of professional activities that include: assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients requiring Occupational Therapy intervention, in accordance with professional standards.
The Occupational Therapist reports to the Director Therapy & Rehabilitation, Manager of Rehab or designate as appropriate.
The Occupational Therapist must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all duties and responsibilities of this job description, in response to changes by the regulating body, as well as agreed upon specific goals and objectives. PERFORMANCE REVIEW
Performance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal review if required. Input will be sought from employees and consultants at the branch and National Service Centre as applicable.
