The Licensed Practical Nurse performs assessments, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care under the direction of a Manager, operating within the full scope of practice as outlined by the BCCNM. Responsibilities include providing supportive care, contributing to individualized plans of care, documenting observations, and performing admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Candidates must be graduates of a recognized practical nursing program or have equivalent experience, and hold current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Essential abilities include effective verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and the competency to work at the full scope of practice, including administering medications.

Under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Operations or designate and in collaboration as a member of a multidisciplinary team; performs assessments, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care. The LPN operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to agency operating policies and standards and unit specific protocols.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
Graduate of a recognized practical nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
