I am applying for the Nurse Practitioner position at Cedar Cottage Primary Care Centre. I hold an independent panel of roughly nine hundred patients weighted toward complex chronic disease, a large share of them unattached before joining our roster.
A patient arriving with no primary care history needs several long visits before the panel average means anything, and building that expectation into the schedule is what kept our attachment numbers from stalling. My urgent care years are why an undifferentiated presentation does not slow me down.
Your posting describes attaching patients from a provincial wait list rather than growing an existing roster. That is the harder version of the work, and it is the reason I am applying rather than staying where the panel is already built.
I hold Nurse Practitioner registration in the family stream and current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
I would like to talk about how quickly the wait list is expected to be drawn down and what the first appointment length is set at. I am glad to meet whenever suits the centre.
