  • Shifts: 9am-5pm What You’ll Do As a Palliative Shift Nurse, you will provide personalized, high-quality clinical care tailored to clients requiring end-of-life and supportive care in their home environment. As a primary care planner, you have the autonomy and flexibility to provide a holistic approach to care while focusing more on direct client time and less on travel.
  • Key responsibilities include: Delivering compassionate palliative and end-of-life clinical care Providing respite care for family members of client, respecting end of life goals, symptom management, and health teaching to clients and families Managing complex care needs, such as protecting skin integrity, nutritional needs, oxygenation, tracheostomy or ventilator support Teaching and delegating appropriate care tasks to other care team members and client family members Maintaining the industry’s highest standards of nursing practice Why Choose Bayshore?

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with active, good-standing registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Certifications: Additional palliative certifications (e.g., LEAP, deSouza Institute courses, or CNA certification in Hospice Palliative Care) are strong assets Experience: 1–2 years of recent, relevant nursing experience (community setting preferred); experience in palliative care, symptom management, IV therapy, and trach/vent care is an asset

Requirements

Valid G2 or G Driver’s License, access to a reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel within the Hamilton/Burlington area in all weather conditions Candidates who have been offered a position will be required to provide: A clear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening Proof of being free from TB Two supervisory references Current CPR certification with a recognized training provider At Bayshore Healthcare, we are committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation practices.
